Open Positions:

ASP/ Enrichment Coordinator

Under the direction of the Cardinal Lacroix Academy principal, the After School and Enrichment Program Coordinator will supervise children and oversee the development, implementation and coordination of the after school programs Cardinal Lacroix Academy, its members and the community. The supervision and safety of all children in the After School programs.

 

Hours: 10am-5:30pm

 

Lunch: 1:00pm-1:30pm

 

Pay Range: $20/hr

 

For full-time employee

Recess/Outdoor Enrichment Activities: 11:00am-1:00pm

 

Planning: 10:00-10:50am (acquisition, organization and preparation of materials for class visits and ASP, parent correspondence, newsletter articles, documentation for ASP data collection, printing and revision of attendance sheet, meeting with teachers)

 

Class visits: 1:30-2:10pm daily (please enter schedule below)

 

ASP: 2:15-5:30

 

Student Management and Safety

  • Taking accurate attendance each day with a total count of participants.

  • Maintain a digital log of attendance that must be shared with the administrative assistant each day for proper billing procedures.

  • Show genuine interest and concern for each child’s needs and general well being.

  • Institute best-practice in classroom management strategies.

  • Assure that only designated pick-ups sign students out of the program via ID check and cross-check with registration form.

  • Set up and maintain a binder with all original registration forms and sign-out sheets that should not leave the kitchen office at the end of each day.

  • Gather participation data via google spreadsheet

Enrichment Activities

  • Teach and review safe emergency exit and entrance procedures with all students.

  • Plan educationally advantageous enrichment activities that align with Title 4 including budget, staffing needs 

  • Maintain a safe program site and ensure that the classroom is left in a clean, orderly condition daily.

  • Ensure that all equipment, games, and supplies are returned to their proper storage areas.

Facilities 

  • Uphold current facility maintenance standards in all major areas of responsibility including daily and preventive cleaning and disinfection.

  • Determine effective use of facilities and equipment with assistance from other team members.

  • Assure that the After School policies are adhered to and procedures are carried out properly.

  • Develop and follow procedures to safeguard the health and safety of children in the program.

  • Maintain visual supervision of children at all times, paying particular attention to playground safety.

  • Supervise the distribution of daily snacks.

  • Lock the building and set the alarms in the “school zone” upon departure.

Professional Communication

  • Check ASP@clanh.org email daily upon arrival and during planning time.

  • Check in with the administrative assistant each day to get the daily roster.

  • Provide written communication about programming to parents and school staff via newsletter contributions (to be sent to administrative assistant by Thursday of preceding week, and distribute and implement the activities calendar for the after school programs.

  • Return all parent/colleague correspondence within 24hrs. Copy principal with all family correspondence. 

  • Initiate behavior communication immediately and privately. Do not discuss student behavior issues in front of other students.

  • Communicates openly with co-caregivers (school staff and THS Ambassadors) providing supportive feedback.

  • Handles student disciplinary issues with teacher’s assistants with compassion and in accordance with the school’s discipline plan (handbook).

  • Represent the Cardinal Lacroix Academy in a mature, professional manner.

  • Establish open communication and good rapport with each parent. Communicate with program parents daily.

  • Work extra paid hours in emergency situations and as needed.

  • Review meeting notes and all training including CPR and First Aid. 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, age 18 years

  • Demonstrated ability or interest in planning and providing recreational, cultural arts, computer and craft activities for children

  • Possess strong skills in working with children to make their experience meaningful 

  • Clear communication skills with children, adults, co-workers and supervisor

  • Complete all Safe Environment/Protecting God’s Children training within one week of hire.

  • Demonstrate strong decision making skills and initiative.

  • Demonstrate ability to work to resolve conflict situations between children and with colleagues, with families

  • Experience working with children ages 4-14.

  • Mature individual, with good moral character and integrity, who provides leadership to children engaged in activities and acts as a positive role model by demonstrating and living the Cardinal Lacroix Academy Core Values.

Physical Requirements:

  • Remain standing for extended periods.

  • Lift and carry up to fifty pounds.

  • See and hear up to fifty yards

  • Crouch, sit, stoop, kneel and climb stairs.

  • Maintain a high level of physical activity for up to four hours per day.

Effect End Result:

  • Implementation of programs activities that are diversified, meet the criteria of Title 4, are well-received and supported by the students and the community.

  • The degree to which there is a steady growth in numbers of participants, groups and leaders.

  • Sound administration of the affairs of the department evident in purposeful and coordinated programs,

  • Good public relations and understanding, sound financial position and good records.

  • After school maintains a high level of student engagement and appropriate child development activities.

Substitute Teacher

At St.Joseph Regional Jr. High School is seeking substitute teachers invested in 7th and 8th grade Catholic education. We love aspiring teachers, retired educators, and those who want to remain active in a wholehearted educational community. Two-years of college would be required, a completed application, criminal background check, and Safe Environment training will be provided. Catholic school principals coordinate and share substitutes when possible so we would keep you busy if you are trustworthy, kind, self-directed, and punctual. $75/per day.

Spanish/ French Teacher

Qualified candidates must have a passion for teaching in a faith-filled environment and be a continuous learner. Preferred applicants are practicing Catholics who hold New Hampshire teaching certification (or be eligible for certification). They will embody our mission of learning to contribute to the world through knowledge and service.

All individuals who work with students will be required to complete Safe Haven Online Training as well as a criminal background check. Interested applicants must complete a Diocesan Teacher Application and forward it along with a letter of interest, resume, college transcripts, and 3 letters of reference to:
