Our History
One hundred years ago, the parishioners of St. Joseph Cathedral decided to take control of their children's education. When St. Joseph School opened its doors in 1925, their vision and dream for Catholic education were realized. That dream continued to the school's campus located at the corner of Belmont Street and Somerville Street and now, with the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, St. Joesph Junior High School has relocated our forever home at 581 Bridge Street, Manchester NH 03104 where we share a campus with Trinity High School!
St. Joseph is built on a solid foundation of academic excellence, Christian values, and Catholic traditions. The school continues to grow with technological advancement and dedication to the arts. Whatever their interests, St. Joseph provides the setting and encouragement to help students develop their skills and to explore new opportunities for growth.
St. Joseph Junior High School is the only Manchester-based Catholic school focused exclusively on the education of 7th and 8th-grade students. This wonderfully unique setting provides an unparalleled opportunity to design programs specifically geared toward this wondrous age.
Furthering Christian values and providing the tools necessary so that each student can reach his or her own God-given potential are our measures of success. Educating the whole student to become a caring, morally responsible and responsive member of society is the ultimate mission of St. Joseph Junior High School.
