St.
Joseph Regional Junior High School offers numerous extra curricular
activities. These activities provide students with opportunities
to interact with their peers in competitive and thought-provoking
environments that help them grow physically, emotionally and
intellectually. Through participation in these groups, students
learn valuable leadership and teamwork skills that will serve
them throughout their lifetime.
The school’s sports programs boast some impressive
championships. There are eighteen different sports teams at
St. Joe’s allowing students the opportunity to pursue
their interests while in the school environment.
Sports teams include:
• Boys and Girl’s Junior Varsity and Varsity Basketball
• Boys and Girl’s Junior Varsity and Varsity Soccer
• Softball/Baseball
• Competition and Game Cheerleading Squads
• Cross Country Running
• Golf
• Hockey
• Track
• Volleyball-noncompetitive
St. Joe’s offers many clubs that meet during school
hours, allowing every interested student access to these programs.
Students are encouraged to take active roles in St. Joe’s
student government and media programs. The Student Council
provides leadership opportunities within the student body
and acclimates students to the political process. St. Joe’s
has both a school newspaper and television news station. Under
teacher guidance, students determine, discover and deliver
newsworthy content to the school community.
Students have an integral role in determining the content
of clubs. Past and present clubs represent a wide spectrum
of diverse interests. Students have enjoyed clubs for art,
cartooning, chess, chorus, community service, cooking, crafts,
genealogy, movie classics, performing arts, scrap-booking,
skiing/snowboarding and yearbook to name a few. The teachers,
staff, administration and extended school family come together
to offer the most comprehensive educational experience for
all our students.
